My name is Frances and I am the founder and proud owner of Four Paws Dorset. I started my business simply because of my love for dogs, combined with my love for walking and the great outdoors.
I understand how important it is to know that your pet/s are safe and cared for by someone that you can rely on and trust completely.
From very early childhood I grew up with dogs being part of the family and had various small ‘furries’ including Chinchillas, Guinea Pigs, Rabbits, Hamsters and more. I currently share my home with ‘Ella’ our 5 year old Border Terrier who is the most wonderful companion and ‘Spike’ my son’s Bearded Dragon, who is amazing!
I moved to Wimborne Minster as a teenager, and after finishing my education, I trained as an Estate Agent. I then had my family and started my own business, helping people (mainly elderly) manage in their own homes. After the couple I helped sadly both passed away in 2010, I began walking friends’ dogs, and it went from there. I started Fours Paws Dorset in 2013.
In early 2025 I relocated to Shaftesbury, a beautiful hilltop town. I am both excited and proud to continue offering the same professional, friendly and reliable service with total commitment to you and your pet.
