POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked by a dog.
The incident happened in the fields behind Markham Avenue in Weymouth at around 9am on Sunday, May 29.
The victim, a 56-year-old man was bitten on the behind causing two small cuts, swelling and bruising. He did not need hospital treatment.
The dog owner is described as a white man, aged in his mid to late 50s, of stocky build and around five feet six inches tall. He was wearing denim jeans, a waitcoast and had dark hair. He also had tattoos on both arms.
The dogs are described as large, possibly Rottweilers or similar breed and dark in colour.
Police Constable Aiden Meredith, of Weymouth police, said: “The victim does not believe there were any witnesses to the incident, however I am appealing to the public to help identify the dog owner.
“If you are able to identify this person, please contact police, or call Crimestoppers anonymously.”
